On our honeymoon in Portugal a townsman gave us armloads of fresh lemons, which we used to make vodka lemonade. It was so good. Back here in NC lemon trees seemed out of the question outdoors so I bought a Meyer for indoor/outdoor living. Right now it has 7 beautifully ripe lemons waiting their tasty fate with vodka!

Yay for retail therapy week.
PS my bougainvillea are not doing well. The flowers have dropped off. I should not have planted them in winter, even it is Marrakesh. I hope they will be okay in Spring. I fed them when I planted them - but any more advice?

I have to have some of these trees...mmmm, eat the bonsai. I am moving from Colorado to Tennessee next month and I am looking forward to the increase in humidity and jump in hardiness zones, more plants to choose from.

A way I have recently heard of beating the "January Blahs" is to wake up to sunlight (even if it is artificial). I have been looking at a number of dawn simulators online and I am considering buying one. People were just not made to live indoors all day...

here are a few examples.
