You make a fair point. The markets were a highlight for me although there were only two a week – without a long drive.
I can’t fault the bread at the supermarkets.

Paul – glad to inspire! That’s the best thing I can do :)

Adekun – hmm. I didn’t have that experience at all. I found the fruit and veggies in French markets just gorgeous – and SO tasty. In their supermarkets, yes, the produce isn’t as good. But why shop there when there are markets daily?

I’m staying with my parents a little further south. Hoping to glean a bit from the local le potagers. I can understand why they do it given the state of the veg in the supermarkets – a big different to Japan where everything is perfect?

Wow! That looks breath-taking:) I’ve gone out and pruned a few plants after visiting your blog. Your passion for gardening is very admirable. I’ve only just got the hang of remembering to water my few plants every day. Must do better!
