Introduce yourself to a neighbour, when you see them outside. Then you can ask about using their tap with your own empty bottle/can. I bet they like what you’re doing!

Your points are very helpful. Especially the singular tool that does ‘everything’. For bringing water you can also get these ‘camping’ water jugs that collapse when empty. Easy to carry, easy to store.
