Well, we must have had slightly warmer weather here on the Island than you in the city–I’ve been harvesting Napoli carrots for a couple of weeks. They’re delicious little miracles! I’ve pulled out all our early potatoes to make room for fall cabbages, and I’m worried I’m way behind in planting my overwintering veg for next spring–so bizarre when it still feels like spring here :(! I’m overwhelmed with salad greens, and I’ve started to pull the peas out too; they sure didn’t like the heat wave. Spinach is done too. But the basil seedlings that I put out a month ago are doing just fine–especially the ones in the pot on the deck. Be brave!

Fabulous carrot! I love it’s miniature status!

I’m currently harvesting peas, and I’m days away from carrots & potatoes. I’m picking cherry tomatoes daily off my baskets. Thats been nice :)

It might be easier to list what we aren’t harvesting!

We are still harvesting potatoes. We’ve got cucumbers, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, and beets all ready. Just a few weeks away from more lettuce being ready and more peppers.

lettuce of all types as well as arugula, oregano, mint, thyme, chives, lovage and basil

I still have lettuce but it is just starting to bolt. Harvesting peas,swiss chard,spinach, chinese greens and onions. Beans are growing now with the heat along with peppers and tomatoes.My second planting of radishes made only top growth.
