lucky you to have lettuce - the hot weather has caused all mine to bolt. I'm trying to get a few moments to start some more indoors so I can set them out for the fall.

I do have lots of beet greens and chard I can eat though. And beans, peas, my first squash, fennel, tomatoes, alpine strawberries, plus lots more bits and bobs.

Oh, and I went blackberry picking yesterday - this year will be a good one as I got a bunch already!

Still have lettuce? Lucky girl! I pulled mine a week or so ago, the few that were left had bolted. What a nice treat to come home to, fresh fruit from the garden!

Tomatillos ('Pineapple' and 'Puebla verde')... and plenty! Must make salsa to freeze, in order to get the kitchen counter back...
