Now Harvesting: late-May

sugar snap peas!

Peas! The peas are here!

The sugar snaps made their debut on my balcony veggie garden this week, and MY GOD, there is nothing better.

Also: lettuces, scallions, leeks, radishes, arugula, spinach, and herbs.

What are you harvesting?

You can see what others are harvesting now on Harvest Mondays, hosted by Daphne’s Dandelions.

I have yet to harvest beyond my Tom Thumb peas a month or so ago. My lettuce, spinach, snap peas & radishes are almost ready, but not quite there yet.

I live in the frozen north, so my garden is still in its infancy stage of little sprouts. However, I have harvested a few batches of pea shoots, which are absolutely delicious.

You lucky girl! I’m worried about my peas. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to go down and peek at them later. They’ve been hit hard by our wild rain as of late.

    Enjoy your harvest!

peas, yes, also the chard planted last year is going gangbusters. AND we have lots of big green strawberries just waiting for some sun, but this year’s weather is not cooperating yet.

I too have peas this week (but not for the week you are posting for). They are so delicious.
