February 24, 2009 by Andrea Bellamy 11 Comments

Sunset magazine's top garden bloggers

Sunset magazine is showing Heavy Petal some love yet again. Woot!

Heavy Petal appears in their March 2009 issue alongside some totally rad blogs – Housemartin, Beyond the Lawn, Garden Bliss, Victory Home Garden, and Orangette to name but a few.

Sunset, I love you!

Congratulations and I agree. Heavy Petal is a blog we gardeners (especially the urban, West Coast variety) can’t live without. Nice to see you blogging more often.

I re-read your December grains post this evening. Thank you for this idea and challenge. I’m thinking of trying one grain this year — as an experiment with the hope of having enough for at least one recipe. Will let you know how it turns out. I hope Saltspring Seeds will be at Seedy Saturday this weekend.

I saw you in there and was thrilled, both for you and for me for being so on top of it and following such a great blog! Cheers to you!

Very cool! I love Sunset. I haven’t read any of those other blogs before, only yours. :) Have you ever been on a tour of their demonstration gardens in Menlo Park, CA? A friend of mine used to be an editor there, it’s quite a place.
