Petal pillow love

July 18, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy Leave a Comment

It could just be because I covet everything turquoise, but I am seriously loving the Petal Pillow by Chiasso. It’s like a pompom dahlia, but square. And made of felt. Mmmm…. felt. Nummy.

Botanical twist

June 18, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy 7 Comments

I love old school botanical illustrations, but have always stopped short of hanging them on my walls. Maybe I’ve just never found ones that are interesting or bizarre enough for my taste. But when I saw Wolfie and the Sneak’s new posters, Fungi and Pods, below, I was smitten. Soon to be gracing my walls: […]

Spring shopping spree

April 9, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy 3 Comments

It’s amazing how quickly you can drop $150 at the nursery. But I got a lot of bang for my buck (see above), and I did it in less than half an hour, all during a business call my husband had to take on our Easter Monday holiday. I apologize for the infrequency of posts […]

Eva Solo: Danish design for outdoor living

La diablo riegan mi jardin

January 22, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy 2 Comments

Check out the Diablo watering can, a sleek, modern-looking watering can designed to be left outdoors to collect rainwater. Why, you ask? Besides the karmic brownie points you earn by conserving water, rainwater is purportedly better for your houseplants – it contains fewer impurities than unfiltered tap water. I knew there had to be some […]

Retail Therapy week – day five

January 19, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy 1 Comment

It’s Retail Therapy week at Heavy Petal. And what could be more therapeutic than these cheery fabrics from Amy Butler? I love her Forest line (shown above, in pillows). Her latest, however, is Lotus, samples of which are shown below (photos via Decor8). Aren’t these gorgeous fabrics? Wouldn’t these just brighten your day – and […]

Retail therapy week – day four

January 18, 2007 by Andrea Bellamy 2 Comments

It’s Retail Therapy week at Heavy Petal, and today we’re going on a shopping spree at Viva Terra, an online store carrying goods that “fuse exceptional quality and design with eco sensitivities.” A visit to their website is both inspiring and calming – a sure remedy for the blahs. They certainly carry garden furniture and […]
